European Commission Fined Google €1,49 Billion

European Commission fined Google €1,49 billion for breaching antitrust rules, in particular, for abusing its market dominance by imposing restrictive clauses in contracts with third-party websites.

“It prevented rivals from placing their search adverts on these websites. We fine Google €1.49 billion for breaching #EUantitrust rules,” says European Commission in its official Twitter.

To recap, European Commission fined Google record €4,34 billion.
